Theophile-Catherine acts as a ball playing defender to start attacks, while Šutalo focuses on his defensive positioning and winning the second ball. This back four remains compact to prevent space between the lines and forces opponents to play wide.

The midfield works in a double pivot system with Modrić and Olmo sitting in front of the defense. Modrić, known for his exceptional passing range and vision, acts as the primary playmaker to dictate the tempo and recycle possession. Olmo provides the energy to drive forward with the ball and helps to shield the defense when needed. On the flanks, Pjaca and Oršić operate as wide midfielders who can push up to support the attack or track back to help the full backs.

Dinamo utilizes two forwards in a partnership to create constant pressure on the opposition back line. Eduardo plays as a mobile striker who looks to run in behind the defense, while Petković acts as a target man to hold up the ball and link play with the midfield. The wide players, Pjaca and Oršić, look to cut inside and create numerical superiority in the half spaces. This setup allows the team to attack in combinations and create chances through quick one-twos or crosses from wide areas.

One major advantage of this lineup is the ability to win the second ball in the middle of the pitch due to the work rate of Modrić and Olmo. The team also gains wide overloads when the full backs push up to overlap the wingers. This creates high pressure in coordinated waves that can overwhelm a mid-block.
