Starting Lineup

Dinamo focuses on a direct and vertical way of playing with a 4-4-2 formation. This lineup aims to win the ball in the middle of the pitch and move quickly toward the opposition goal. Koch stands between the posts to guard the goal. The defensive unit operates with a flat back four where Etto acts as the right back to provide width. Cufre covers the left side, while Ćorluka and Bišćan sit as the central defenders. Ćorluka provides aerial strength and leadership in the air, whereas Bišćan acts as a ball playing defender to start attacks. This back line works to hold the line and prevent runs in behind.

The midfield is a four man block that covers the width of the pitch. Ademi sits as the single pivot to shield the defense and win the second ball. Beside him, Oršić and Kranjčar occupy the central roles to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Modrić plays in the attacking ten role behind the strikers, using his passing range to find teammates. Modrić carries the ball forward to drive the team into the final third and finds spaces between the opposition lines.
