Feralpisalò aims to play a direct and physical brand of football using a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup is built to control the central areas of the pitch and use verticality to move the ball quickly from the back to the front line. The system relies on a strong central core to win the second ball and transition into attack with speed.

MOSCHELLA SX guards the goal while the defensive unit sits in a back three. POPOLO acts as the central defender to hold the line and direct the movement of his teammates. On the right side, RUSSO M. provides cover, while COCO 180 DX operates as the left wide centre-back. This back three focuses on defending zonally and ensuring they stay compact to deny the opposition space between the lines.

The midfield functions with a deep-lying pivot and several players working in the half-spaces. LUKOKI sits in front of the defence to shield the back three and intercept passes. Alongside him, RUSSO and MIGNECO operate in the central zones to recycle possession and connect the defence to the attack. FITTAIOLI and CORDA push higher up the pitch as attacking midfielders, looking to press aggressively and win the ball high up the pitch to spark quick attacks.

The attacking unit utilizes two forwards to stretch the defence. BALDEH and GANGITANO play as a partnership, often looking to run in behind the opposition back line. They work together to create combinations in tight spaces, with one striker often holding up the ball to allow the other to make a run. The presence of FITTAIOLI and CORDA behind them ensures that the front two always have support to receive layoffs or through balls.

Feralpisalò finds success through numerical superiority in the midfield, which allows them to control the tempo of the game. The formation also creates wide overloads when the attacking midfielders push out to support the play. This allows the team to switch play quickly and isolate attackers in one on one situations when the opposition is stretched.

This 3-5-2 formation provides a solid base for teams that want to dominate the center of the park. It is best suited for games where the team needs to squeeze the space and counter at pace against a side that plays with a high line.
