Starting Lineup

Focusing on a high press and rapid verticality, Dinamo operates through a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup aims to win the ball high up the pitch to catch the opposition out of position. By playing with high intensity, the team looks to move the ball forward quickly through the thirds to exploit gaps in the defensive lines of the opponent.

Koch stays between the posts to anchor the defense. The back four functions as a zonal line with Etto and Cufre acting as full backs to provide width. Etto covers the right side while Cufre moves up to support the attack. In the center, Sedloski and Ištvanić work together to defend the middle, with Sedloski acting as a dominant force in the air and Ištvanić ready to cover space if the line is breached.

The midfield consists of a three-man midfield with a carrier and creative elements. Boban operates on the left to connect the defense to the attack, while Olmo works in the right half-space to create chances. Mujčin sits deeper to shield the defense and recycle possession. This unit works to press in a mid-block and squeeze the space between the lines to prevent the opponent from playing through the center.

Dinamo utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Viduka acts as the central striker, often tasked to hold up the ball and win the header to bring others into play. Bošnjak and Cvitanović play as wide wingers who cut inside to threaten the goal. These players press from the front to force a long ball, creating opportunities for the team to break quickly in transition and find the feet of the striker.

This formation provides significant advantages through its ability to press high in coordinated waves. The wide players and midfielders can work together to win it back high up the pitch, creating immediate goal-scoring chances. Additionally, the movement of the wingers creates space for the midfielders to arrive late into the box or find pockets of space between the lines.
