Up front, the attack uses three attackers across the front. The lone striker, 9, works as a pressing centre-forward to force a long ball from the opposition. On the flanks, 11 and 7 act as wide wingers who spread wide to stretch the defence. They look to get to the byline and cut it back for the oncoming midfielders. The movement of 11 and 7 creates space in the channels for 9 to run in behind or link up play between the lines.
