The midfield works in a central block to control the center of the pitch. Thiago Maia acts as a single pivot to shield the two centre backs and recycle possession. Beside him, Bruno Henrique works to connect the lines and carry the ball forward. On the flanks, Bernabei and Bruno Gomes provide the necessary width. Bernabei pushes high to support the attack, while Bruno Gomes must track back to help the defense when possession is lost. This four man unit aims to compress the midfield and win the second ball.

The attacking unit is extremely aggressive with four players pushing into the final third. Borré and Alan Patrick operate as a partnership in the center, with Borré working to hold up the ball and Alan Patrick finding pockets of space between the lines. They are supported by Wesley and Vitinho on the wings. Wesley and Vitinho pull wide to stretch the defence and look to deliver early crosses or cut back into the box. This group presses from the front to force the opposition into mistakes.

Internacional creates significant tactical advantages through their massive attacking presence.
