Urawa relies on a high press and verticality through a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup aims to win the ball high up the pitch and hit the opposition quickly. The team works to compress the space in the middle to force long balls before breaking quickly on the transition.

จั่นเจา sits between the defenders to sweep behind a high line. The back three consists of นะโม, เน็ตโตะ, and แบงค์. นะโม acts as a ball playing defender who can step up to intercept passes. เน็ตโตะ remains central to win the header and clear the lines, while แบงค์ provides cover to the right. This unit functions to keep a compact shape and squeeze the space between the lines.

The midfield operates with a double pivot of โชค and ปลื้ม who shield the defence. โชค acts as a deep lying playmaker to recycle possession, while ปลื้ม focuses on winning the second ball. In front of them, ออนนี่/แพรวา connects the lines and arrives late into the box. The wide midfielders มิวมิว/ออร์คิด and ใบปอ/แพน push high to provide width and support the attack. These players work to press in a mid block and press in pairs to win it back high up the pitch.

Urawa utilizes two forwards in a partnership consisting of ข้าวฟ่าง and เซฟ. ข้าวฟ่าง operates as a pressing centre forward to pin the last defender, while เซฟ works to hold up the ball and lay it off to runners. The attack is built through combinations in tight spaces and quick passes to break the line. The wide players มิวมิว/ออร์คิด and ใบปอ/แพน are tasked to spread wide and deliver early crosses to the strikers.
