Boca aims to play a direct and aggressive style of football centered on high intensity and verticality. This lineup utilizes a 4-2-4 formation to maximize numbers in the attacking third. Marchesin acts as the last line of defense in goal. The defensive unit functions with a flat back four that maintains a high line to keep the team compact. Advincula operates as an attacking right back who likes to push high up the pitch, while Saracchi provides width on the left. In the center, Lema and Rojo form the defensive pairing, with Rojo providing experience and Lema focusing on winning headers and clearing the lines. They must work together to cover the space left behind when the full backs push up.

A double pivot controls the center of the pitch to bridge the gap between defense and attack. Herrera and Battaglia act as the two central midfielders who must hold their positions to protect the center of the pitch.
