Because there are no full backs, these two must defend man-to-man or defend zonally in a very tight space to prevent the opposition from getting behind them.

Alongside him, Picco operates to connect the defensive and attacking lines, while Silva and Roldán push higher to drive forward with the ball. This midfield group is tasked to press in a mid-block and ensure that any loose balls are recovered quickly to start the next attack for Platense.

The attacking unit is built to stretch the defense across the entire width of the pitch. Minerva and Zapiola act as wide wingers, with Minerva cutting inside to create space and Zapiola looking to get to the byline. In the center, Taborda and Rodríguez work as a two man partnership up front. Taborda and Rodríguez often combine in tight spaces to pull defenders out of position, creating runs in behind for the wide players or allowing the midfielders to arrive late into the box.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through its ability to create numerical superiority in the attacking third. By pushing four players high, the team can force the opposition back into a deep block. The wide overloads created by Minerva and Zapiola combined with the central presence of Taborda and Rodríguez make it difficult for defenders to track every runner.
