Starting Lineup

Skyzz stays between the defenders to manage the back line. The defence utilizes a back five consisting of Hoshi, Zawyed, and Shogunso in the centre. Hoshi plays as the central defender to sweep behind the line while Zawyed and Shogunso occupy the left and right central roles. JDL and Bolg operate as attacking wing backs to provide width. JDL and Bolg push high to support the attack but must track back to ensure the team holds a narrow defensive block when the opposition has the ball.

A midfield of three serves as the engine for Annecy. tnn, SAE9K, and RGMY work to occupy the centre of the pitch. tnn acts as the left sided central midfielder to press and win the ball back. SAE9K plays as the central pivot to shield the defence and receive the ball from the centre backs. RGMY works to drive forward with the ball to connect the defensive and attacking lines. This trio aims to win the second ball and squeeze the space in the middle.

The attacking front features two forwards in a partnership. Metty plays as the left striker to find space and receive the ball on the half turn. (blackhole st) operates as the right striker to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. When the team moves forward, JDL and Bolg overlap the wide areas to stretch the defence. The team looks to play through the lines or use the wing backs to whip it in toward the two strikers. Metty and (blackhole st) often combine in tight spaces to catch the defence off guard.

This formation offers several tactical advantages, most notably compactness when defending. The presence of Hoshi, Zawyed, and Shogunso makes it difficult for opponents to find gaps in the centre. Additionally, the team can create wide overloads through the movement of JDL and Bolg. The speed of transition allows the team to move from a low block to an attacking position very quickly.
