Starting Lineup

Elversberg relies on a high press and quick transitions to unsettle opponents using a 4-5-1 formation. RajG stays narrow to protect the central zone, while shogunso is tasked to push up and provide width during attacks. In the center, breezo and slimjim work as a pair to defend zonally. breezo uses his strength to win the second ball, while slimjim looks to cover the space behind if the line is breached.

The midfield functions as a five man unit that controls the tempo of the game. Hoshi plays as a single pivot to shield the defense and recycle possession. In front of him, flo and ruqi act as two central midfielders who connect the lines. flo drives forward with the ball to break the line, while ruqi works to intercept passes and disrupt the opposition. Moving higher, cayzz and xoruu occupy the half spaces as attacking midfielders. cayzz looks to create from deep, whereas xoruu pushes into the final third to link with the attack.

The attacking plan centers around a lone striker, wudda, who acts as a pressing centre forward. wudda works to pin the last defender and hold up the ball to allow the midfielders to join the play. The wide players, cayzz and xoruu, act more like attacking midfielders who occupy the pockets of space between the lines. This creates a system where the team attacks in combinations, often looking for runs in behind or cutbacks from the wide areas once the wingers pull the defense apart.

This formation provides specific tactical advantages through its compactness when defending and the ability to create numerical superiority in the midfield. By having five players in the middle, Elversberg can easily win the second ball and control the central zone. The team also benefits from a high press in coordinated waves, with wudda, cayzz, and xoruu all triggering the press to win it back high up the pitch.
