Talleres relies on a compact defensive presence and quick transitions using a 4-5-1. This formation is built to play a disciplined game where the team stays organized in a mid-block to frustrate the opposition before hitting them on the break. By sitting in a narrow defensive block, Talleres aims to squeeze the space between the lines and force the opponent into wide areas where they can be trapped.

G. Herrera sits between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back four functions as a flat line with G. Benavídez acting as a defensive wing back to help cover the right side. M. Navarro operates as the left back to provide balance, while J. Rodríguez and K. Mantilla form the central pairing. J. Rodríguez acts as a ball playing defender to start attacks, while K. Mantilla focuses on being dominant in the air and covering runs in behind. The unit works to hold the line and ensure the gaps between defenders remain small.

The midfield is a five man block designed to dominate the central zones. J. Portilla acts as the single pivot to shield the defence, while Fabri Díaz works alongside him to help recycle possession. R. Botta and Rick Lima operate in the half spaces to connect the defensive and attacking lines. M. Galarza provides extra cover in the middle to ensure the team is not bypassed through the center. This group works to win the second ball and press aggressively once the ball enters their zone.

Talleres utilizes a lone striker in F. Girotti to lead the line. F. Girotti works as a pressing centre-forward to disrupt the opponent's build up play from the back. The four midfielders behind him do not stay static, as R. Botta and Rick Lima often arrive late into the box to support the attack. The wingers or wide midfielders must track back to help the full backs while also looking to exploit space on the transition. The goal is to find the feet of the striker or use his hold up play to bring the runners into play.

This lineup offers significant compactness when defending, making it very difficult for opponents to play through the middle. Talleres can also find success through the speed of transition when they win the ball in the middle third. By using the wide midfielders to stretch the defence, they create opportunities to play through the lines once the opposition is pulled out of position.

This 4-5-1 formation is built for a team that wants to be difficult to break down and lethal on the break. It is best suited for matches against teams that dominate possession and leave space behind their high line.
