In front of them, Tomasi and Lauren act as the central drivers to carry the ball forward and link the lines. Cruyff operates as an attacking midfielder in the left half space, while Avelardze plays on the right to provide more width. This group is designed to squeeze the space and press in a mid-block to win it back high up the pitch.

In the attacking phase, the team relies on a two man forward line. Obafemi Martins plays as a left striker, while Soldado/Koné occupies the right striker position. These two forwards work to pin the last defender and create space for the midfielders to arrive late into the box. The attack is built through short passes and combinations in tight spaces, often involving the wide midfielders dropping deep to support the build up. The goal is to use the massive midfield numbers to create overloads that allow the strikers to find the feet of the striker or run in behind.

The primary tactical advantage for Levante is the numerical superiority in midfield, which makes it very difficult for opponents to find passing lanes. This setup allows for incredible compactness when defending the middle, forcing teams to play wide and away from the danger. Another strength is the ability to compress the midfield, making it nearly impossible for the other side to control the ball.
