Starting Lineup

Paredes plays as a right attacking midfielder to progress through the thirds with his passing range, while Cristante operates on the left. Cristante is tasked to press aggressively and drive forward with the ball to connect the lines. This midfield quartet works to recycle possession and ensure the team stays compact when the ball is lost.

In the attacking phase, Roma uses four players across the front to pin the last defender. Dovbyk acts as a target man to hold up the ball and win headers, while Dybala plays as a second striker in the hole to find spaces between the lines. Pellegrini stays wide on the left to whip it in, whereas Soulé operates on the right as an inverted winger who looks to cut inside. The movement of Dovbyk and Dybala creates combinations to split the defense with through balls.
