Starting Lineup

PSG focuses on a heavy defensive presence and quick transitions through a 5-4-1. This formation is built to sit deep and absorb pressure before looking to strike with speed. The lineup aims to deny space in the middle and force opponents into less dangerous wide areas.

Kenpachi stands between the posts to guard the goal. The defensive unit employs a back five that works as a compact block. Trol acts as the central anchor, while Ushido and Bosinn play as the wider centre backs to cover the channels. Shanks operates as a right wing back to provide width, and Lani plays as the left wing back to help defend the flanks. The unit works together to keep a narrow defensive block that makes it difficult for opponents to play through the middle.

The midfield consists of a four man line that works to squeeze the space in front of the back five. TanNinja and Justin operate in the central roles to shield the defence and win the second ball. Justin helps to protect the central area, while TanNinja looks to carry the ball forward to connect the lines. On the edges, Luca and Flawless occupy the wide areas to track back and support the wing backs. This midfield group works to intercept passes and recycle possession when the ball is won.

PSG relies on a lone striker, Aidn, to lead the line. Aidn acts as a target man to hold up the ball and allow the midfielders to move up the pitch. The attack is built through quick transitions where Luca and Flawless look to spread wide and deliver crosses. The wing backs, Shanks and Lani, push up to provide support, often looking to overlap the winger to create numbers in the final third. Aidn must work to pin the last defender and create room for runners from deep.

One major advantage for PSG is the compactness when defending, which makes the team very hard to break down in a low block. The formation also allows for speed of transition when the ball is won in the middle of the pitch. By using five defenders, the team can easily shift to cover wide threats or double up on dangerous attackers.
