PSG Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Nasr · Kari · Raja · Tapir · Ariq · Haziq · Eyman · Harith · Borhan · Ajim · Dam nasPSG looks to control games through high pressing and direct attacking play using a 4-3-3. This formation allows the team to squeeze the pitch and hunt for the ball in the opponent half. The lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and immediately look to punish the opposition with verticality.
Nasr stands between the posts to command the area. The defensive line sits as a flat back four to keep the distance between the units tight. Dam nas and Borhan act as the central pair, where Dam nas focuses on covering space and Borhan looks to win the header during set pieces. Harith functions as an attacking left back to provide width, while Tapir works to balance the side and can tuck inside to help the midfield. This unit works to maintain a high line to keep the game in the opponent territory.
The midfield operates as a three man midfield with a carrier and two supporting players. Eyman sits in the center to link the defense and attack, acting as the main pivot to recycle possession. To his right, Haziq works to carry the ball forward and drive into the half spaces. Ajim occupies the left side to press aggressively and win the second ball. This trio helps PSG maintain control in the middle of the park and ensures the team can transition quickly from a mid block to an attack.
PSG utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Raja acts as the central striker to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. On the flanks, Ariq and Kari play as wide wingers who want to cut inside to create goal scoring chances. Ariq will look to isolate his marker one on one, while Kari provides width before making runs into the box. The front three press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.
A major strength of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By having three players up top and three in midfield, PSG can quickly surround the ball carrier. The wide players and overlapping full backs like Harith create wide overloads that force the opposition to shift heavily to one side. This creates space for Raja to find pockets of room in the center.
This 4-3-3 focuses on aggressive ball winning and rapid forward movement. It is best suited for matches where the team wants to dominate possession and pin a lower block back.
