They must be ready to press aggressively to win the ball back high up the pitch.

Up front, South Africa uses two centre forwards in L.Le Roux and L.Foster to pin the last defender. The attack is completed by P.Tau on the left wing and B.Hlongwane on the right wing. P.Tau and B.Hlongwane act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to stretch the defence.
