This trio works to win the second ball and ensure the team can transition from defense to attack without delay.

In the attacking third, Ukraine utilizes three attackers across the front to pressure the opposition. Macken plays as a lone striker and acts as a pressing centre-forward to harass the opposing centre-backs.
