Starting Lineup

Misty (Melon) · vXorex · Zawyed · Tamango · Sivicz · Muz · Flo · Balou · Wason · Bankai · Wudda

Amiens looks to control the middle of the pitch through a high press and intense central presence in a 2-5-3. This formation is built to dominate the central zones and use heavy numbers in the middle to win the ball back high up the pitch. The team focuses on suffocating the opponent and using quick verticality once the ball is regained.

Misty acts as the lone goalkeeper behind a very high line. The back line consists of only two central defenders, vXorex and Zawyed, who must stay compact and ready to sweep behind the high line. Because there are no full backs, vXorex and Zawyed have to cover vast amounts of space, often stepping up to intercept long balls or marking runners as they try to hit in behind. This defensive unit must remain very disciplined to avoid being caught out in wide areas.

The midfield is the engine of this Amiens lineup, operating as a massive five man block. Tamango and Sivicz form a double pivot to shield the defense and win the second ball. Muz plays as the central carrier to drive forward with the ball and connect the defensive and attacking lines. On the flanks of this midfield group, Flo and Balou operate in the half spaces to provide width and support the attack. This midfield group works together to squeeze the space and ensure the opposition cannot play through the lines.

The attacking front three relies on quick movement to stretch the defense. Wudda acts as the central striker to hold up the ball and link with the runners. Wason plays as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside and create space, while Bankai operates on the right wing to provide width or look for runs in behind. These three forwards work to press the opposition back line, forcing long balls and creating chances through quick combinations or individual skill.

One major advantage for Amiens is the numerical superiority in midfield, which makes it very difficult for opponents to keep possession in the center. The formation also allows for coordinated waves of pressure, as the five midfielders can quickly transition from a defensive block to a high press. This setup creates constant pressure on the ball, forcing the opposition into mistakes in their own half.

This 2-5-3 formation is built for a team that wants to dominate territory and force errors through heavy pressure. It is best suited for matches against opponents who struggle to play out from the back under intense scrutiny.
