Jarni and Srna sit as a deep-lying duo to shield the two defenders and provide a base for the team to play out from the back. In front of them, Čajkovski and Boban work to control the rhythm and connect the lines. Modric plays as an advanced playmaker on the left, using his exceptional passing range and vision to find teammates, while Vukas operates on the right to help move the ball forward. In the attacking third, the team utilizes two forwards in a partnership. Suker and Bobek work together to lead the line, often looking for runs in behind the defense.
