Galoppo/Enzo provides the engine to drive forward with the ball and press aggressively to win the ball high. Together, they must protect the space in front of the back five and ensure they do not get bypassed by a quick passing team.

Up front, River uses three attackers to stretch the defence. Borja acts as the lone striker, using his presence to hold up the ball and wait for support. Pity plays on the left and can cut inside to create chances, while Rojas/Subiabre stays on the right to provide width or work in combinations. The wing backs, Montiel and Casco, often overlap the wingers to create overloads. This lineup is designed to create runs in behind the opposition back line through quick transitions and cutbacks from the byline.
