Ryosuke Kojima sits between the posts to command his area and organize the backline. The defensive unit operates with a back three consisting of Eiji Shirai and Hayato Tanaka alongside Taiyo Koga. Eiji Shirai acts as the central defender to clear the lines, while Taiyo Koga and Hayato Tanaka cover the lateral spaces. On the flanks, Diego and Daiki Sugioka act as attacking wing backs who push high to provide width. They must track back quickly to form a five man line when Kashiwa loses possession.

The midfield operates as a three man midfield with a carrier to link the play. Takuya Shimamura and Yoshio Koizumi occupy the central spaces to press in a mid block and intercept passes. Sachiro Toshima works to recycle possession and connect the defense to the front two. This trio must stay close together to compress the midfield and prevent the opposition from playing through the lines. They focus on winning the ball in central areas to trigger a quick transition.

Kashiwa employs two forwards in a partnership to lead the attack. Mao Hosoya and Kosuke Kinoshita operate as the front line, often looking to run in behind the opposition defense. Mao Hosoya works to find the feet of the striker to hold up the ball, while Kosuke Kinoshita looks to make runs to stretch the defense. The wing backs, Diego and Daiki Sugioka, provide the width by pushing up the flanks to deliver crosses. The team builds attacks by playing out from the back or using long balls to the strikers in transition.

This formation offers several tactical advantages for Kashiwa. The back five ensures compactness when defending, making it very difficult for opponents to find gaps in the central zone.
