In the middle, Stevia Egbus Mikuni and Koki Kawachi defend the central areas, where Stevia Egbus Mikuni uses his aerial strength to win headers and Koki Kawachi covers the space behind.

The midfield operates in a way that blends defensive screening with creative passing. Syed Firdaus Hassan and Ho Wai Loon form a central pairing to shield the defence and win second balls. Ho Wai Loon works to carry the ball forward, while Syed Firdaus Hassan focuses on cutting off passing lanes. Yohei Otake operates in the half spaces to link the midfield to the attack, often dropping deep to receive on the half turn. Amy Recha plays as an attacking midfielder behind the two forwards to pull defenders out of position and find the feet of the strikers.
