Eastern AA focuses on a heavy defensive presence and quick transitions using a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is built to sit deep and absorb pressure before hitting the opposition with pace. The team looks to remain solid in a low block and rely on the speed of their forwards to exploit gaps when the ball is won back high up the pitch.

Yapp Hung Fai stays between the posts to command the area and organize the back line. The defense operates as a back five with Nii Noye Narh acting as the central defender to hold the line. Daniel Almazan sits as the right centre-back to cover the space, while Carlos Perez plays as the left centre-back. The wide defenders Axel Jojo and Calum Hall act as attacking wing backs to provide width. Axel Jojo pushes up to support the left flank and Calum Hall performs similar duties on the right side. The unit stays compact to deny the turn to any oncoming attackers.

The midfield employs a two-man engine room to connect the defense and the front three. Lam Hin Ting plays as a deep lying playmaker to protect the center and recycle possession. Ma Hei Wai acts as an attacking ten to drive forward and link the play to the strikers. Lam Hin Ting works to intercept passes and protect the zone in front of the back five. Ma Hei Wai finds pockets of space to receive the ball and play through the lines to trigger a fast attack.

The attack features three players tasked with stretching the defense. Victor Bertomeu leads the line as a lone striker to hold up the ball and lead the press from the front. Noah Baffoe operates on the left wing as an inverted winger to cut inside and create chances. Felipe Sa plays on the right to provide width and look to whip it in for the striker. This front three works to pin the last defender and create runs in behind during transitions.

Eastern AA gains a clear advantage through their ability to remain compact when defending and utilize wide overloads when the wing backs push up. The formation allows for speed of transition as the team can quickly move from a low block to an attacking phase. By using the wing backs, the team can effectively stretch the defense and isolate wide players in one on one situations.
