In the middle of the pitch, the team uses a two man midfield. Fiola acts as the single pivot to shield the defense and win the second ball. Rasak occupies the role of an attacking ten, looking to drive forward with the ball and connect the defensive and attacking lines. Because there are only two players in the center, Rasak must press aggressively to win the ball high and prevent the opposition from playing through the lines.

The front line is composed of four attackers who stretch the pitch. Ganea and Ljujic act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to create width. In the center, Horváth and Brodic operate as a pair of forwards. Horváth can hold up the ball to lay it off to others, while Brodic makes runs in behind to exploit the space. The team attacks in combinations, with the wingers looking to cut inside or whip it in toward the strikers.

One major tactical advantage is the numerical superiority in the attacking zone. Having four players in the front line allows Újpest to pin the last defender and create constant chaos.
