The midfield is a five man unit that connects the defense to the attack. Fred and A. Z. Anguissa form a double pivot to protect the center, with Fred known for his high energy and ability to press. He works alongside Anguissa to shield the defense and win the second ball. F. Kostic and O. Aydın provide the width as wing backs, tasked to overlap the midfielders and deliver crosses. Heung-Min Son plays as an attacking ten behind the strikers, using his clinical finishing and movement to find gaps in the defensive line.

Fenerbahçe utilizes two forwards in a partnership to lead the line. Dusan Vlahovic acts as a target man to hold up the ball and win headers, while Jonathan David plays as a second striker who looks to run in behind. These two forwards press the opposition back line to force errors. The team builds play through the middle to find Son, who can either feed the strikers or arrive late into the box himself.
