They defend zonally and must be strong in the air to clear lines when facing direct balls.

A midfield of five provides the engine for the Real Madrid system. Eso and Vaati form a double pivot to shield the two defenders and recycle possession. Ahead of them, Rinho and Flain occupy the half spaces to connect the play. Begon acts as an attacking ten, playing in the hole to find the feet of the striker or pass through the lines. This midfield unit works to compress the midfield and win the second ball.

The attack is led by Mingo, who acts as a lone striker to hold up the ball and lead the press. Romani and Dayzze operate as wide attackers on the flanks. While Romani looks to cut inside to create central overload, Dayzze tries to get to the byline to whip it in. Players move to create runs in behind and use link-up play between the lines to catch opponents on the transition.

This formation offers significant numerical superiority in the center of the pitch. By packing the middle with five players, the team can control the tempo and progress through the thirds with ease.
