ΑΤΜΑΤΣΙΔΗΣ stays between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line functions as a flat back four where ΜΠΟΡΜΠΟΚΗΣ acts as an attacking full back to provide width on the right. On the left, ΚΑΣΑΠΗΣ pushes forward to support the attack. In the center, ΜΑΝΩΛΑΣ and ΔΕΛΛΑΣ form the core of the defense, with ΜΑΝΩΛΑΣ acting as a ball playing defender while ΔΕΛΛΑΣ focuses on winning headers and covering space behind the line.

The midfield is a three-man midfield with a single pivot to control the center. SAVEVSKI acts as the deep lying playmaker who sits in front of the defense to shield the back four and recycle possession. To his sides, ΤΣΙΑΡΤΑΣ and ΠΑΠΑΙΩΑΝΝΟΥ operate as the two connectors. ΤΣΙΑΡΤΑΣ drives forward with the ball to break the lines, while ΠΑΠΑΙΩΑΝΝΟΥ works to press aggressively to win the ball high. This midfield unit works to compress the midfield and bridge the gap between the defense and the attackers.

AEK uses three attackers across the front to stretch the opposition. ΝΕΣΤΟΡΙΔΗΣ leads the line as a pressing centre-forward who looks to find the feet of the striker and run in behind. On the wings, ΜΑΥΡΟΣ and ΝΙΚΟΛΑΙΔΗΣ act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create central overloads. These wide players pull wide to create space before cutting in to deliver crosses or shoot. The movement of the front three is designed to create runs in behind and isolate defenders in one on one situations during transitions.
