Juventus Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Di Gregorio · Savona · Gatti · Veiga · Locatelli · Koopmeiner · Turam · Gonzalez · Yildiz · Vlahovic · MuaniJuventus aims to dominate through high pressing and rapid verticality in a 3-4-3. This lineup is built to win it back high up the pitch and move the ball forward with speed to catch the opposition before they can settle. The focus for Juventus is on squeezing the space and using aggressive movement to break the lines.
Di Gregorio starts in goal to command his area and organize the back three. The defensive unit sits in a high line where Gatti acts as the central anchor, dominant in the air and organizing the zonal line. Savona plays as the right centre-back to provide cover and step up when needed, while Veiga operates as the left centre-back to assist in playing out from the back. This back three works to compress the midfield and ensure there is no space between the lines.
The midfield uses a central pairing to control the center of the pitch. Turam and Locatelli form a double pivot where Locatelli works to shield the defence and recycle possession. Turam acts as a carrier to drive forward with the ball and link the defensive unit to the front three. On the flanks, Koopmeiner and Gonzalez operate as wing backs who provide width and support the press. Koopmeiner is known for his high work rate and ability to arrive late into the box, while Gonzalez provides much needed energy to help the midfield gain control.
The attack consists of three forwards playing in close combinations. Muani and Yildiz act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goalscoring chances and pull wide to stretch the defence. Vlahovic operates as a pressing centre-forward, looking to find the feet of the striker and pin the last defender. This front line is designed to attack in transition, with the wingers looking to isolate a one on one or deliver early crosses for Vlahovic to attack the far post.
One major strength is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the front three to trigger a press that the midfield can immediately join. The formation also offers wide overloads when Koopmeiner and Gonzalez push high to overlap the wingers. This creates significant pressure on the opposition full backs and forces them into difficult defensive decisions.
The 3-4-3 formation provides a heavy offensive presence through its aggressive wingers and central carriers. It is best suited for games where the team needs to dominate possession or break down a low block with high intensity.
