The midfield works through a combination of central control and wide coverage. Harrison sits in the center to connect the defensive and attacking lines, often acting as the link to move the ball forward. Beside him, Vanson and Iglesias form a midfield trio that aims to win the ball high up the pitch. Mikkelsbraun and Longhaul occupy the wide roles, providing the width needed to stretch the defence. They are tasked to track back and defend when the team sits deep, but they also push high to support the attack.

West Ham employs two forwards to lead the line. Lee S. H. and (c) Park S. M. work as a partnership to pressure the opposition back line. Lee S. H. often looks to find the feet of the striker or run in behind, while the captain, Park S. M., uses his presence to hold up the ball and lay it off to oncoming runners. The attack is built through combinations in tight spaces and quick movement to isolate defenders. They aim to create chances through cutbacks from the byline or long balls that find the duo in space.
