In the attacking phase, Young operates as a lone striker. He must hold up the ball and wait for support from the five midfielders behind him. The attack relies on the midfielders making runs into the box to support Young when the team wins the ball. The wide midfielders move to spread the defence, creating space for Young to find the feet of the striker or for teammates to run in behind.
