Colo Colo focuses on a high press and fast transitions using a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup aims to win the ball high up the pitch and move forward quickly to catch the opposition before they can settle. By using a front three and two wide midfielders, the team looks to stretch the defence and create many chances through vertical play.

B. Cortés operates as the goalkeeper behind a back three. A. Saldivia plays as the right centre-back, while S. Vegas holds the left centre-back position. In the middle, B. Kuscevic acts as the central defender to control the area. This back three defends zonally to cover the space behind the wingers. The unit works to stay compact and step up to maintain a high line, forcing the opposition to play long balls.

The midfield functions as a box-like engine to control the middle of the pitch. V. Pizarro and E. Pavez form a central pairing where Pizarro works to drive forward with the ball and Pavez provides balance. On the flanks, F. Pellistri and L. Cepeda act as wide midfielders who provide the necessary width. They are tasked to track back when the ball is lost and press aggressively to win it back high up the pitch. Pavez works to connect the defensive unit to the attack by recycling possession.

In the attacking third, Colo Colo utilizes three players to pin the last defender. J. Correa acts as the striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. V. Dávila and C. Aquino play as wide attackers, with Dávila looking to cut inside to create goalscoring chances. The forwards press the opposition back line to prevent easy build up play. This formation creates many opportunities for runs in behind and allows the wide players to combine in tight spaces.

One main advantage for Colo Colo is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it very difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The presence of F. Pellistri and L. Cepeda allows for wide overloads when they push forward to support the attack. This creates a constant threat on the flanks and helps to pull the opposition defence apart.

This 3-4-3 formation is built for aggressive, high energy football. It is best suited for games where the team wants to dominate the tempo and punish opponents through quick transitions.
