The attacking trident is built for directness and speed. Mbappé operates as a central striker, looking to run in behind the defence and find space between the lines. On the flanks, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo act as wide attackers who pull wide to stretch the defence before cutting inside to attack the near post. They look to combine in tight spaces and deliver early crosses or through balls to Mbappé. The movement of these three creates constant pressure on the opposition back line.
