Poland aims to win the ball back high up the pitch using a 2-5-3 formation. This lineup focuses on heavy pressure and verticality to catch opponents before they can settle. The team looks to control the game through an aggressive presence in the central areas of the field.

Bulka acts as the lone man behind the defensive line. Bednarek and Kiwior operate as a central pair in a narrow back two. Bednarek provides aerial strength while Kiwior acts as a covering defender. This two man line must stay compact to prevent long balls from splitting the defence, often requiring the midfielders to track back quickly to support the small defensive unit.

The midfield is very crowded to ensure control of the central zone. Cash and Frankowski form a double pivot to shield the two defenders. Cash drives forward with the ball to bridge the lines, while Frankowski stays deeper to protect the center. Zielinski and Moder operate as inverted eights in the half spaces to press aggressively and win the second ball. Szymanski plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find pockets of space and play through the lines.

The attacking unit uses three players to stretch the opposition. Lewandowski plays as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and hold up the ball. Zalewski and Bogusz act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to provide width. These attackers work to create runs in behind or lay it off to the oncoming midfielders. When the team transitions, the forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

Poland gains a massive advantage by creating numerical superiority in the midfield. Having five players in that zone allows the team to squeeze the space and deny the turn of opposing playmakers. The wide overloads created by Zalewski and Bogusz also allow the team to switch play rapidly. This setup makes it very hard for opponents to build play through the middle of the park.

The Red Devils use this aggressive formation to overwhelm opponents in the middle third. It is a high risk lineup best suited for games where Poland wants to dominate possession and force turnovers high up the pitch.
