This formation is built to play a high press and quickly hit teams in behind. The lineup aims to squeeze the space in the opposition half while maintaining verticality in every attacking move.
Livaković sits between the posts to organize the back line. The defense operates with a back three where Škriniar acts as the central leader to win headers and cover the space behind. Jayden plays as the left centre back to provide balance, while Osayi operates as the right centre back to use his speed to track runners. This unit works together to hold a high line and force the opposition into long balls.
The midfield utilizes a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Amrabat acts as the primary shield to protect the defenders, while Fred works as the engine to drive forward with the ball and link the play. In the wide areas, Simón provides width on the right and Rıdvan occupies the left. These wide players are tasked to overlap the wingers and provide crosses into the box to stretch the defence.
Fenerbahçe employs three attackers to pin the last defender. Bertuğ stays central as a target man to hold up the ball and win the second ball. Talisca operates as an inverted winger on the right to cut inside and create chances, while ASM plays on the left to threaten the far post. The forwards press from the front to trigger a press and win the ball high up the pitch, creating chances through quick combinations.
A major advantage of this lineup is the ability to press high in coordinated waves to win the ball back quickly. The presence of Amrabat and Fred provides control in the middle, making it hard for opponents to play through the lines. Additionally, the wingers and wide midfielders create wide overloads to isolate defenders in one on one situations.
This formation provides a heavy attacking presence that is best suited for games where the opponent plays a low block. Fenerbahçe will find success using this high pressing identity to overwhelm teams that struggle to play out from the back.
