The midfield functions with a double pivot of Gerson and B. Guimarães. Gerson works to connect the defensive and attacking lines while B. Guimarães shields the defense and breaks the line with vertical passes. On the flanks, Raphinha and Yan Couto provide the necessary width. Raphinha covers the left side and tracks back to help the defense when the team loses possession. Yan Couto carries the ball forward on the right to support the attack and spread wide to pull defenders out of position.

In the final third, the front line features Vini Jr, Estevão, and Rodrygo. Vini Jr plays as an inverted winger on the left and cuts inside to threaten the goal with his dribbling. Estevão stays wide on the right to stretch the defense and isolate defenders in one on one situations. Rodrygo works as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and find the feet of the midfielders. The team relies on quick combinations to find runners in behind or hit in behind on the transition.

One major advantage for Brazil is the ability to create wide overloads. When Yan Couto and Raphinha push up, they overlap the wingers to overwhelm the opposition flanks.
