São Paulo aims to play a high press with a vertical attacking intent through a 3-4-3. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and strike quickly. The lineup relies on heavy pressure from the front to disrupt the opponent and create chances in transition.

Young starts in goal to oversee the defensive line. The back three consists of Sabino, T. Mendes, and N. Ferraresi. Sabino plays as the left centre-back while N. Ferraresi operates as the right centre-back. T. Mendes acts as the central defender, holding the line and covering space behind his teammates. The unit tends to push up to squeeze the space, leaving Young to act as a sweeper behind the high line.

The midfield functions as a four man unit with two central players and two wide midfielders. Bobadilla and M. Alves form a central pairing to control the middle of the pitch. Bobadilla works to shield the defence and win the second ball, while M. Alves drives forward with the ball to connect the lines. Wendell and C. Soares operate in the wide areas to provide width. Wendell pushes high on the right and C. Soares moves up on the left to support the attack and overlap the wingers.

The attacking front three features R. Sosa on the left wing and Luciano on the right. Both R. Sosa and Luciano act as inverted wingers who cut inside to threaten the goal. Ryan F. leads the line as a pressing centre-forward. Ryan F. works to pin the last defender and create room for the wide players. The attack looks to play through the lines with quick passes, often looking for runs in behind the opposition defence.

São Paulo gains a major advantage through their ability to press high in coordinated waves. The wide players and the central midfielders can easily create wide overloads when Wendell or C. Soares push forward. This setup also allows the team to transition very quickly once the ball is won in the middle third.

This 3-4-3 formation is designed for teams that want to dominate through high pressing and rapid attacking movements. It is best suited for matches where the opponent struggles to play out from the back.
