Starting Lineup

SHAH · THAKUR · GIANOLI · ALLEN · JOHNSON · KASIMOV · GOMEZ · BENNETT · VARGAS · MANZOKI · DUDU

Mohammedan aims to control games through a high press and quick verticality using a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and use the speed of the front three to attack the opposition defense before they can get organized. The team looks to spread the pitch wide to stretch the defense and create gaps in the middle.

SHAH sits between the posts to organize the back line and command his area. The defensive unit operates as a flat back four with JOHNSON and THAKUR acting as the wide defenders. JOHNSON provides width on the right while THAKUR tucks in to help the central pairing. In the middle, ALLEN and GIANOLI form the heart of the defense, with ALLEN acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks and GIANOLI focusing on his aerial strength to win headers. This unit works to maintain a high line to squeeze the space between the lines.

The midfield operates with a three man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. GOMEZ occupies the right central role to drive forward with the ball and connect the lines. KASIMOV plays on the left to help recycle possession and shield the defense when the team is under pressure. BENNETT plays as the attacking ten in the hole, looking to play through the lines and find the strikers. This group works to win the second ball and ensure the team can transition from defense to attack without losing control.

In the attacking third, Mohammedan uses three attackers across the front. MANZOKI acts as a pressing centre-forward to lead the line and harass the opposition centre backs. DUDU operates as an inverted winger on the right, looking to cut inside and create chances. VARGAS stays wide on the left to whip it in and provide service from the flank. The goal is to create combinations through short passes and use the movement of the forwards to pull defenders out of position for runs in behind.

One major advantage of this lineup is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, which forces the opposition into mistakes. The team also gains wide overloads when the full backs join the attack to create two on two situations against the opposing wide players. This setup allows Mohammedan to dominate much of the play through constant pressure.

This 4-3-3 formation is designed for a team that wants to dictate the tempo through aggressive pressing. It is best suited for games against opponents who struggle to play out from the back under intense pressure.
