They tend to play a high line to squeeze the space, with Vlad tasked to cover the area behind while the wide defenders manage the space in front of them.

In the middle of the pitch, Ajax utilizes a three man midfield to control the tempo. Dragaba sits as a single pivot to shield the defense and win the second ball. To his sides, Lyrio and Pakora act as the engine room, with Pakora and Lyrio working to carry the ball forward and connect the defensive unit to the front line. They focus on recycling possession and finding ways to play through the lines to feed the heavy attacking force.

The attacking front line is built around four players designed to stretch the defense. Relaxed and Kosky operate as a two man strike partnership in the center, where they look to find the feet of the striker and run in behind. On the flanks, Ace and XDRED act as wide attackers who spread wide to pull the opposition defenders apart. This front four works to press from the front, forcing the opposition back line into rushed clearances or errors.

One major advantage of this Ajax formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it very difficult for opponents to build play from the back. The presence of four attackers creates constant pressure on the opposition defenders, often leading to one on one situations for the wingers.
