Holjund operates as a pressing centre forward, using his physicality to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. This front line is designed to create runs in behind and use the width provided by the wingers to stretch the defence.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads when the wingers and full backs combine. Denmark also benefits from the speed of transition, as the four attackers can immediately press the opposition back line to win the ball back high up the pitch.
