They often work in combinations to pull defenders out of position. Since the wide players Apple and Tina push high, Buddy and TBD can focus on runs in behind or link up play between the lines. This creates opportunities for cutbacks from the byline when the wing backs get deep into the final third.

One major advantage for Lazio is the ability to create wide overloads through the overlapping runs of Tina and Apple. This forces the opposition to track back and leaves gaps in the middle. Another strength is the compactness when defending in a low block, which makes it very difficult for opponents to play through the lines. The team can also exploit the speed of transition to catch the opposition out of position.
