FCSB Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Tudor · Bibire · Steluta · Constantin · Dadu · Radu · Dragos · Cozma · Dascalu · Farcas · JitaruFCSB looks to control the game through a high press and direct verticality using a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and push opponents back toward their own goal. The team relies on aggressive movement to disrupt the opponent and create chances through quick transitions.
Tudor operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line consists of a flat back four with Dadu and Bibire acting as full backs. Dadu looks to overlap the winger while Bibire provides balance on the left side. In the center, Steluta and Constantin act as the central defensive pairing, with Constantin tasked to win the header and Steluta to cover the space behind the line. The defensive unit functions to keep the team compact and close the gaps between the lines.
The midfield is built around a single pivot role where Radu sits in front of the defense to shield the back four. Dragos and Cozma play as two much higher midfielders to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Radu works to recycle possession and protect the center, while Dragos and Cozma look to carry the ball forward and arrive late into the box. This trio works to compress the midfield and win the second ball to keep the pressure on.
FCSB uses three attackers to stretch the opposition defense. Dascalu acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. Jitaru and Farcas operate as wide wingers who cut inside to create central threats. Jitaru and Farcas look to isolate a one on one wide or cross from the byline to find the striker. The attack is built through quick combinations and runs in behind to exploit the space left by the opposition.
This formation offers several tactical advantages. FCSB can create wide overloads from overlapping full backs to overwhelm the wings. The team is also capable of pressing high in coordinated waves to force a long ball from the opponent. This allows the central defenders to step up and win the ball in advanced areas.
The 4-3-3 formation provides FCSB with the tools to dominate the ball and press with intensity. It is a lineup best suited for facing teams that try to play out from the back.
