FCSB Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Tudor · Dadu · Steluta · Constantin · Bibire · Radu · Dragos · Cozma · Dascalu · Farcas · JitaruFCSB focuses on a high press and fast transitions using a 4-3-3. This formation allows the side to win the ball high up the pitch and push quickly toward the opponent. The team looks to control the tempo through central combinations while staying ready to strike in transition.
Tudor operates between the posts to command the area and organize the defensive unit. The back line consists of a flat back four with Bibire at right back and Dadu at left back. Bibire and Dadu are tasked to push up the pitch to provide width, while Steluta and Constantin hold a higher line to compress the space. Steluta and Constantin defend zonally to cover the middle and win the second ball. The unit works together to squeeze the space and maintain a compact shape when the ball is on the opposite side.
The midfield works through a three-man midfield with a carrier and a creative hub. Cozma and Radu operate as the engine, with Radu tasked to connect the defensive and attacking lines while Cozma works to win the ball back in a mid-block. Dragos plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find the feet of the forward or make late runs into the box. This trio helps to recycle possession and ensure the team can move the ball from the defensive third into the final third.
Up front, FCSB utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. Dascalu acts as a pressing centre-forward to disrupt the opposition build up from the back. Jitaru and Farcas play as inverted wingers who cut inside to create more central presence, which opens space for the full backs to overlap. The attack relies on quick combinations and movement to pull defenders out of position, often looking to hit in behind on the transition.
One major advantage is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, which puts immediate pressure on the opponent. The presence of Dragos allows the team to create numerical superiority in the half-spaces. Additionally, the movement of Jitaru and Farcas creates many one on one situations for the wingers.
This 4-3-3 formation provides FCSB with a potent attacking threat through high pressing and quick vertical play. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
