The midfield consists of a double pivot intended to control the central zone. Ето'о plays as the left central midfielder and works to win the second ball and connect the defence to the attack. Alongside him, НОВ operates as the right central midfielder to shield the defence and recycle possession. This pairing must remain disciplined to prevent the team from being exposed in the middle when the four attackers push high. They are the engine that allows the rest of the lineup to move forward.

The attacking front line is spread wide and deep to pin the opposition defenders. Two forwards, including Питас, operate as a central partnership to hold up the ball and find ways to break the line. The width comes from the wingers, with НОВ on the left wing and НОВ on the right wing, who are expected to stay wide and deliver crosses. This front four can press from the front in pairs to force a long ball from the opposition. They move in combination to create runs in behind or isolate defenders in one on one situations.
