This defensive unit focuses on staying compact and squeezing the space to prevent the opponent from playing through the lines.

In the middle of the pitch, Celta use a central pairing of Ilaix Moriba and Fran Beltrán to control the tempo. Fran Beltrán looks to recycle possession and connect the defense to the attack, while Ilaix Moriba provides energy to press aggressively and win second balls. Mingueza and Carreira act as the wide midfielders, providing the necessary width.
