Starting Lineup

Cracovia focuses on a direct and aggressive offensive style with this 4-2-4 formation. This lineup is built to attack the opposition quickly and pin the defense back with constant pressure in the final third. The goal is to use the heavy front four to stretch the pitch and create chances in transition.

Worwa sits between the posts to guard the goal. The defensive unit operates as a flat back four to maintain compactness. Perzyński plays as the left back while Dulęba covers the right side, both looking to support the attack when the ball moves wide. Głowacki and Pawlikowski act as the central defenders, tasked with winning the second ball and clearing the lines when under pressure. They must stay disciplined to ensure they do not get caught too high when the team pushes forward.

The midfield functions as a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Drożdż and Kuźma form the engine room, working to shield the defense and win possession high up the pitch. One of them must act as a carrier to drive forward with the ball, while the other connects the defensive line to the attackers. This pair is responsible for recycling possession and ensuring the two central midfielders do not get bypassed by the opponent.

Cracovia utilizes four attackers to overwhelm the opposition. Kotsan and Pawlik act as a two man strike partnership, with Kotsan acting as a target man to hold up the ball. Bariiev operates on the left as an inverted winger to cut inside, while Kuraś stays wide on the right to provide width. This setup creates many runs in behind and allows the wingers to deliver early crosses into the box for the two central forwards to attack.

A major advantage of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads and isolate defenders in one on one situations. The heavy presence in the attacking line allows the team to press from the front and force a long ball from the opponent. By using a four man front line, Cracovia can also achieve numerical superiority in the final third to overwhelm a back four.
