Bibire acts as a left back to provide width while Dadu covers the right flank. In the center, Steluta and Constantin form the heart of the defense, with Steluta acting as a ball playing defender to help play out from the back. Constantin provides stability to ensure the unit remains compact when the team is forced to sit deep.

A three man midfield drives the engine of this FCSB formation. Radu operates as a deep lying playmaker, looking to receive the ball from the defenders and switch play to the wings. Cozma works alongside him to connect the defensive and attacking lines by carrying the ball forward. Dragos plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find the pockets of space between the opposition lines. This midfield unit works to win the second ball and ensures the team can transition from a mid block to an attack without delay.

The attacking front line focuses on stretching the defence to create openings. Edi operates as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and find the feet of the oncoming midfielders. On the flanks, Farcas and Jitaru act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create central overloads. This movement allows the team to use the width provided by the full backs. The forwards press the opposition back line in pairs to force a long ball and regain possession in dangerous areas.
