The midfield is the engine room for Juventus, utilizing a five man line to control the center. Marco Tardelli works in the middle to drive forward with the ball and connect the defense to the attack. To his sides, Claudio Gentile and Antonio Cabrini occupy the lateral roles to provide balance and cover. Michel Platini operates in the right half space with his incredible passing range and vision to create chances. Pavel Nedved works on the left to press aggressively and carry the ball forward into the final third.
