This group works to press aggressively to win the ball high and then quickly progress through the thirds to find the attackers.

The front line utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. L.toure and S.bangoura act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to pull the opposition defenders apart, while M. Cheick Traoré plays as a pressing centre-forward. The wingers are expected to cut inside to create space for the full backs to overlap. The attack relies on quick combinations and runs in behind to punish teams that fail to track runners.

One major advantage for Guinea is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The formation also offers speed of transition once M.
