The defensive work starts with GK protecting the goal. The team maintains a back five to ensure they are never outnumbered centrally. Defensive midfielder sits in the middle of this line to shield the defenders. Ball playing CB and Destroyer CB act as the central pair, with one looking to play short from the back and the other looking to win headers and clear the lines. DEF Fullback and ATT Fullback cover the wide areas, allowing the team to shift across the pitch to deny the turn of the opponent.

The midfield functions with a three man midfield containing a deep sitter and two more advanced players. Deep lying playmaker stays deeper to receive on the half turn and distribute the ball to the flanks. Box to Box works to carry the ball forward and cover the space between the lines. Playmaker operates in the hole to link the midfield to the attack and provide the final pass. This group can press in a mid block to force a long ball from the opposition.

Up front, the team uses two forwards to stretch the defence. WF acts as a winger who can cut inside to pull defenders out of position, while CF works to hold up the ball and find teammates. The width is provided by the wing backs. ATT Fullback will push high to get to the byline and whip it in, while DEF Fullback provides more stability.
